First Quantum Computing Hackathon

NOVEMBER 2, 2015

QxBranch is partnering with Cybertraders Anonymous to launch the first-ever quantum computing Hackathon on Saturday, 14 November in Sydney, Australia starting at 9:00 a.m.

In this inaugural 8-hour programming event, aspiring algo traders will get an early look into the technology. We’ll be incorporating quantum computing software and training materials to challenge teams to design and test software suited to quantum computing technology.

As part of the event, quantum computing experts such as QxBranch’s Dr. Kingsley Jones, a quantum physicist based in our Australian office, and Dr. Tom Starke, a quantitative trader and physicist, will give an overview of simulation tools and its basic concepts.

Says Dr. Jones: “Quantum computing will sooner or later put its stamp on algo-trading and computational investment, so you better be ready.”
