The Washington Post today published a Capitol Business profile on QxBranch, after sitting down with CEO Michael S. Brett and Board Director Dr. Ray O. Johnson and discussing commercial applications of quantum computing. The headline asked: “A quantum leap for data crunching? Washington start-up aims to harness futuristic, super-fast computing principles to tackle large-scale calculations.”

The timing of the story was just right – following the unveiling last week by IBM scientists of two critical advances towards the realization of a practical quantum computer.

Some key excerpts in the story:

“The power of quantum computing lies in its ability to perform complex calculations much faster than traditional computing systems, Johnson said. It could help large organizations solve logistics and optimization problems or enhance machine learning used in artificial intelligence systems, he said.”

“At QxBranch, Brett says he is confident that advances in quantum computing design are already paving the way for commercial applications.”
